Krave Minerale Review: Luxurious Perfection Mineral Foundation & Oil Eliminator & Hydrator Primer & Finishing Veil
I have been raving about Krave for the past few FOTDs. And that’s not without reason. These products have been amazing!
PRICE
For 3g, you’ll get the Luxurious Perfection Mineral Foundation for Php 300 and the Oil Eliminator & Hydrator for Php 285. That right there is a pretty good deal! Definitely, a 5 out of 5.
PACKAGING/AVAILABILITY
I’m really not a fan of the packaging. :( In fact, I was a little hesitant to buy their products at first because of this. They come in plastic jars with a plastic sift (shown on the fourth pic) which can be easily propped out. The sift on the mineral foundi dispenses a little amount while that on on the Primer dispenses a LOT of product. But because there are great reviews about them, I was tempted to buy. Sadly though, I had to buy them online (and yes I hate paying more for freight!). You can buy Krave products directly from their site or through their distributors which are listed in their FB page here. I’d have to give them a 3 out of 5 for this.
QUALITY
Pictures two and three show how finely milled both products are! Velvety to the touch and extremely feels lightweight on your skin. Depending on how you apply it, the Mineral Foundi can give you a a sheer, medium, light or heavy coverage as the product is buildable. I don’t use it alone though. I feel like mineral make-up needs a base to stick on to. It’s the same thing with the Primer & Finishing veil but I opt to use a thin layer on my face when it comes to this product. Both the foundation and the primer & finishing veil gives a matte finish. Yup, this one’s a 5 out of 5.
PERFORMANCE
I have LARGE pores (especially on my nose) and the foundation does tend to fill them in..in a bad way. However, this was my first try using it. When I got a new brush to BUFF the foundation on my face, I never encountered this problem again. Using mineral make-up can be a bit tricky, but the key is to buff..buff..and buff away! This gives you a flawless finish and it will make the foundation look and feel natural! :)
I don’t know how to feel about the Primer & Finishing Veil though. :l I don’t know if it’s my lighting or camera, but it does give a bit of a white cast on the pictures. I’m not even sure if it does help make my make-up last longer but it does smoothen my skin. A great canvas before applying anything and a great way to finish your make-up. :) With regards to lasting power, I noticed like these products depend on how good your moisturizer or make-up base is. With that, I give them a 4 out of 5!
Would I buy this again? If I ran out of the foundation I definitely will! :) But the primer has to go. I feel like I can find a better product than this like a make-up setting spray or a good face primer. Sorry.
Would I recommend this product? Oh yes! But before you make that purchase, make sure you have the right brush to apply these products on. I’m currently loving my Charm Flat Top Brush and my Kabuki Brush from Sigma. Anything dense and soft will do. :)
