Dark Shadows’ Angelique Inspired Makeup Tutorial

“And burn, baby, burn!” Don’t you just love her? I don’t know about you, but I secretly wish for Barnabas and Angelique to end up together. They’re such a sexy couple! Here’s my take on Angelique’s makeup which is inspired by the one she wore during the Collins’ Ball. My Dark Shadows’ Angelique Inspired Makeup Tutorial can be viewed at my new Youtube Channel. :)

I love her so much that I even did my hair! My curling iron has failed me countless times (or I just suck at it) so I decided to try out Curlformers instead. They are all the rave online! And now I know why. They DO work! :D And to think I used these on dry hair with no curling or hair products whatsoever (except for hair spray to make the curls last longer).

Angelique and I clearly have different skin tones. So in an effort to be true to the look, I used a foundation which is two shades lighter than mine. But you used BB Cream! I know. But BB Cream can be used as moisturizer, face primer or foundation. Owkies? :)

P.S. Did you notice the wing earring I wore? :D Ahhhh! Can’t get enough of her. She’s too perfect…and crazy. She’s a crazy woman but I love her still. :) Inspiration picture.

Ending with goofy photos of myself! XD I take A LOT of pictures for every look, sift through everything and pick out the best shots for every post. Blogging is some serious stuff! Smiling and smizing in front of the camera can be VERY tiring…the result? TADA!

WISHLIST: Fuschia Lipstick

I don’t know why I have this fascination for everything and anything pink, but you have to admit a pink lipstick would look glorious on any skin tone! :D

Since I’m a bit morena, I think a Fuschia will look best on me. I have the NYX Lipliner in Fuschia and I LOVE it! The color is surprisingly flattering on me! Although Fuschia is a strong color, it does not overwhelm my face at all.

Here’s a list of Hot Pink Lippies I would like to try! :)

Lime Crime Opaque Lipstick in Centrifuschia

Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Fuschia

Barry M Lip Paint in Punky Pink

Sleek Pout Paint in Pinkini

NYX Xtreme Lip Cream in Dolly Girl

Knowing myself, I think I’d buy just one or two from this set. I don’t wear make-up everyday nor am I a make-up artist so I really don’t see the need to keep more than one of the same colored lipstick. This goes for other make-up products as well. :)

Anyhoo, hope you enjoyed the PINK-ness of this post. If you have a list of to-die-for lippies, drop by my Ask Box and let me see! :)

NYX Round Lipstick in Pure Nude

I took these pictures the day Pure Nude arrived but when I opened the tube, the tip was already chipped. From shipping most probably. Boo! :(

Just want to share this new lippie that I got a few weeks ago from Starmaine Cay. My all time go to shop for NYX Cosmetics! :) Smokey eyes is probably my favorite make-up look and it’s always lovely to pair such sultry eyes with a nude lip.

Finding the perfect nude lippie though can be tricky because there is no absolute nude shade for everyone. For me, I have found the one that suits my coloring best. Ever since I discovered it, I have never replaced Soft Nude from the Revlon Colorburst Lipstick Collection.

Pure Nude, I think, will look best for those with fairer skin tones. I tried it on alone on my lips and ended up looking like a Zombie! But hey, if that’s the look you’re going for (for Halloween or Costume Parties and stuff) then why not.

As you can see from the next two pictures, Soft Nude has yellow undertones which looks good against my medium to light skin tone.

I didn’t want this lippie to go to waste though, so I used it in my previous FOTD but paired it with a light pink lipliner to bring more warmth to it. I say, it doesn’t look that bad anymore.

Estee Lauder’s Signature Hydra Lipstick in L06 LUSH ROSE
Lookie here! A beautiful warm pink lippie from my sister! :D THANK YOU SISTER!!! :D
Ooohh..pretty pretty. I can’t stop looking at that packaging…classic! And not only do I loOove the color, I am munching rainbows about the the word “L<3VE” that’s etched on it’s side. And as you can see, Lush Rose has been swatched or used (used a couple of times actually). :D But I can’t help it, I had to try it on!
LUSH ROSE? TO DIE FOR. I AM TOTALLY gonna do an FOTD with this. Along with the other make-up products that I bought a few weeks back. (I’ll be showing you what I have been buying in the next post! *wink*)

Bright Pink Lips..
…are GORGEOUS!It makes you look like your in love. February is way over but who doesn’t want to look blooming everyday? :)
Because I’ll be using an uber bright lipcolor today, I decided to tone down the eyes to bring focus on my lips. I figured I’d go with a very neutral eye this time with long lashes to make ‘em look a little bit flirty. Palette used: Covergirl’s Nourishing Eye Quad in Country Woods (the E/S have names :); don’t forget to blend well but not too much so the eye make-up will look natural!).
Face
Beauty Angel’s BB Cream in 03
Milani Pressed Powder in Golden Beige
SanSan Cosmetics Blush in 03 (a Peachy Pink Color)
I also did a bit of countouring with this one. Since, I don’t have a dark foundation on hand, I tried using a dark brown E/S and applied them below my cheekbones (you’ll have to put on a fishy face for this). And then with the lightest pressed powder I have, I applied that below the Dark brown E/S. Used the same light colored podwer on the bridge of my nose, on top of the eyebrows and the area below the eyes.
Eyes
L’oreal HIP Shadow Paint in Secretive as base
Barely Beige E/S on Eyelid
Mocha E/S on Crease
Coffee E/S on outer V
Mink E/S on browbone to highlight
NYX Studio Liquid Eye Liner in Black (line eyes)
Avon Pencil Eye Liner on Waterline
Take a bit of Coffee E/S and line the outer lower lashline.
Glue on long lashes and voila! The eyes are done!
Lips
Chapstick Lipbalm in Cherry
NYX LipLiner in Fuschia
NYX Round Lipgloss in Clear
Simple, easy, and lovely! :) This is actually something I’m comfortable wearing on a bright sunny day. That is, if I do wear make-up outside. :D So I guess that’s it! I hope you’ll try it yourself. And remember to…

NYX Haute Melon & Inspiration Pic Attempt#1
Okay so, this is what I made out of the inspiration pic I reblogged two days ago. It was kinda late so I only did one eye..ahehehe. —, I feel that it still needs some work but whatever maybe I’ll try again tomorrow(?).
Anyhoo, this was supposed to feature my new orange lippie from NYX - Haute Melon, one of their new shades. I noticed that it does have a different formula from the “old” shades because this one feels and smells different. But it still has the qualities of NYX round lipsticks: creamy, pigmented and the not-that-good staying power. *peace* But it’s a good lippie all in all. :D
The thing is, with my naturally pigmented lips, it does come off as RED rather than ORANGE. So to get the color in the tube, I had to dab a bit of foundation on my lips first before applying the lippie. And voila! That’s the color you see above na. And I’m quite happy with the result. :)
